Two Southern Miss Baseball Free Events Set This Week
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team plays host to two free fan events this week, including the Hot Stove All-Access set for Thursday, Feb. 1, and the team’s annual fan day, Saturday, Feb. 3.
The Baseball Hot Stove All-Access event starts at 6 p.m. at Mugshots Grill and Bar (204 N. 40th Ave.) and will include a question and answer session with the Golden Eagle baseball coaches. The only cost is the meal at the venue. Season ticket holders can reserve special seating by signing up here.
The Baseball Fan Day takes place at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field, starting at 9:30 a.m., with registration, followed by a free kids’ clinic from 10-11 a.m. The 2018 Golden Eagles will then go through an autograph session from 11 a.m.-12 noon, before finishing with a 1:30 p.m., scrimmage.
In addition, a season ticket holder event has been added to Fan Day, as Golden Eagle coaches and selected players will provide a question and answer session from 10-11 a.m., at the Baseball Performance Center under the third-base grandstand.
To gain access to the Q&A session, Season Ticket Holders are asked to check in at the gate prior to 10:00 a.m. Reservations can also be made by clicking here. In addition, season tickets are available to be picked up and purchased at Fan Day. Any season tickets not picked up with be mailed out on Monday, Feb. 5.
The 2018 season begins with the Mississippi Farm Bureau Classic on Feb. 16 against Mississippi State. Game time is 4 p.m., at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field. Single Game tickets begin going on sale Feb. 1, and the only way to ensure tickets to the Mississippi State series is through season tickets.
