Southern Miss Announces Ticket Policy for Mississippi State Baseball Single Game Tickets

Jan. 10, 2018

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Coming off a 50-win season and as a NCAA Regional host, the No. 25 ranked Southern Miss Golden Eagles baseball team opens their 2018 season with a much anticipated matchup with No. 13 Mississippi State in the Mississippi Farm Bureau Classic, February 16-18.

Due to the anticipated crowd for this highly anticipated rivalry, all grandstand seating will be designated as reserved seating as it was done during the NCAA Hattiesburg Regional and general admission seating will be standing room only and/or first baseline cement terracing.  The grandstand bleacher seating will return to general admission for the rest of the regular season.  Bleacher season ticket holders that wish to request reserved seating in the grandstand, that have not done so already, should contact the ticket office.

Season tickets are still the best way to ensure seats for the series, as it is expected to sell out.  Season Tickets are for sale starting at $200 for bleacher seats and $270 for chairback seats and can be purchased online at southernmisstickets.com, by contacting the ticket office at 1-800-844-TICK, or in person at the Pat Ferlise Center on campus from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Single game tickets for the 2018 season will go on-sale to the general public on February 1 at 8 a.m.  Prior to that date, baseball season ticket holders, Eagle Club members, Southern Miss students, and other select groups will have the opportunity to purchase single game tickets before the general public.  Single game tickets for the Mississippi State series are $15 for general admission standing room and $20 for reserved bleacher and chairback seats.

Starting Tuesday, January 16 at 8 a.m., Circle of Champion members will have the opportunity to purchase up to six (6) additional tickets in any location.

On Thursday, January 18, baseball season ticket holders that are Eagle club members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets beginning at 8 a.m.  Season ticket holders that possess four (4) or more seats will be able to buy up to four (4) additional tickets in the same section as their season tickets.  If they have less than four (4) tickets they can purchase the same number of tickets as they have season tickets.  If their Eagle Club giving (based on the chart below) is higher than what their season tickets would allow, they can utilize that amount.  However, they cannot combine both amounts to obtain more than four (4) single game tickets.

On Friday, January 19, baseball season ticket holders that are not Eagle Club members can purchase tickets beginning at 8 a.m.  Season ticket holders that possess four (4) or more seats will be able to buy up to four (4) additional tickets in the same section as their season tickets.  If they have less than four (4) tickets they can purchase the same number of tickets as they have season tickets.

On Monday, January 22 at 8 a.m., Eagle Club members that are not Season ticket holders can purchase tickets in any location, up to the number assigned based on their Eagle Club giving (based on the chart below).

Starting on Wednesday, January 24, current Student Eagle Club members can get tickets starting at 8 a.m. in person at the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office.  Each student can get one (1) student ticket and purchase one (1) additional guest ticket in general admission standing room only for $10.  Based on availability they can upgrade their tickets to reserved bleacher seats for an additional $10.  Then, beginning on Friday, January 26, all students can get tickets starting at 8 a.m. in person at the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office.   The same ticket policy as above applies.  There will be 700 student tickets held for each game of the series.

If there are still single game tickets remaining, on Monday, January 29, tickets will go on sale to M-Club, Alumni Association members, and USM Faculty and Staff starting at 8 a.m.  They will be permitted to buy two (2) tickets in any location.

On Thursday, February 1, any remaining single game tickets for the series will go on-sale to the general public and the previous groups will be able to buy more tickets over their previously allotted amount.

Due to the expected demand and limited availability of single game tickets, season tickets are still the best way to ensure seats for the series, as it is expected to sell out.
