HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Baseball Winter Showcase slated for Saturday, Jan. 12, has been rescheduled to Sunday, Jan. 20, due to impending bad weather slated for that day.
The camp will begin at 12 noon, at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field, with registration starting at 11 a.m.
The showcase camp is designed for players from 9th grade to junior college sophomores to get exposure for college coaching staffs as well as professional scouts, which are expected to be in attendance.
Each of the players will be seen at their respective position and pitchers, who are dual players, will be allowed to participate at both spots.
Campers will run the 60-yard dash, be tested at their defensive positions, as well hit on the field at Pete Taylor Park. Lunch will not be provided and the camp will be limited to the first 100 applicants.
