2008 (junior)

  • Used mainly as the set up man out of the bullpen
  • Led the team with 32 appearances, which was also third in C-USA
  • Picked up four wins and two saves on the season with only one loss
  • Earned his first career win in relief at Rice on March 30
  • Earned his first career save over Mississippi State on April 22
  • Did not allow an earned run in 23 of his 32 appearances
  • Struck out 52 batter while walking only 15
  • Had a career high of five strikeouts in two different outings (vs. Ole Miss on March 25 and vs. Memphis on May 10)
  • Had a career long outing of 4.2 innings on April 19 at Tulane
  • The team was 24-8 in games that he appeared
  • Earned Conference USA Commissioners Academic Medal

At Meridian Community College

  • Played for coach Chris Rose
  • Earned first team all-state in 2007
  • Was 11-1 with 88 strikeouts and a 2.53 ERA in 66 innings as a sophomore
  • Also saved three games in his sophomore campaign
  • Was 5-1 with 49 strikeouts and a 2.42 ERA as a freshman in 2006

At Enterprise High School

  • Four year letterman for coach Jeremy Wilkins
  • Helped lead his team to the 2004 class 2A state championship
  • Three time all-state selection and four-time all-district selection
  • Named the divisional 2A pitcher of the year in 2005 and 2005
  • Was 8-3 with a 1.06 ERA and 164 strikeouts as a senior
  • As a junior was 16-2 with a 0.95 ERA and 221 strikeouts
  • Was 6-3 with a 2.20 ERA and 100 strikeouts as a sophomore
