Named first-team All-Conference USA (relief pitcher)…Named to C-USA All-Tournament team…2017 (So.): Made 26 appearances out of the bullpen, third-most on team…Finished 10-1 with 2.16 ERA and seven saves…Allowed 12 earned runs on 34 hits, walking 25 while striking out 72 (third-most on staff)…Went season-high 4 1/3 innings, allowing one hit, while walking two and striking out career-high seven in picking up the win over Marshall (3/24, 1st game)…Went four innings at Louisiana-Lafayette (3/4); picked up a win at Louisiana Tech, throwing four scoreless innings, with three walks, four strikeouts…Went 3 2/3 scoreless innings at Western Kentucky (4/1), allowing no hits while walking one, striking out five…Went 3 1/3 scoreless at Rice (4/16), allowing two hits, walking three, striking out six…Twice allowed four earned runs, vs. Old Dominion (4/22), vs. Florida Atlantic (5/6); allowed four earned runs in his other 24 appearances…Picked up two wins and a save in his three appearances at the C-USA tourney.

Prep: Played two seasons for Coach Jason Osborn at Evans (Ga.) Greenbrier High School…In those two years, the Wolfpack won 55 games, including 2015 Class AAAAA Georgia State High School baseball championship games…On the mound, posted a career 24-2 record with 1.23 ERA...In 30 career appearances, struck out 211 batters while walking 65…In 159 career innings, allowed 79 career hits. Personal: Son of John and Daisy Sandlin, Older brother, Jake, played for the Golden Eagles in 2015 and currently is an assistant baseball coach at Georgia College…Majoring in Construction Engineering Technology.
