2017 (So.): Voted All-America by several publications including a first-team honor by Perfect Game/Rawlings, second team by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and a third-team nod by Collegiate Baseball…Garnered ABCA/Rawlings all-South region second team honors…Named first-team All-Conference USA (relief pitcher)…Named to the C-USA All-Tournament team…Made 29 appearances out of the bullpen, second-most on team…Finished 10-2 with 2.38 ERA and eight saves…Allowed 15 earned runs on 41 hits, walking 29 while striking out 80 (third-most on staff)…Went season-high 4 1/3 innings, allowing one hit, while walking two and striking out career-high seven in picking up the win over Marshall (3/24, G1)…Went four innings at Louisiana-Lafayette (3/4); picked up a win at Louisiana Tech, throwing four scoreless innings, with three walks, four strikeouts…Went 3 2/3 scoreless innings at WKU (4/1), allowing no hits while walking one, striking out five…Went 3 1/3 scoreless at Rice (4/16), allowing two hits, walking three, striking out six…Picked up two wins and a save in his three appearances at the C-USA tourney…Did not allow an earned run over his first 11 appearances, spanning 24 innings…Five of his eight saves were stints of two innings or longer…Collected third-team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors at reliever and also garnered a spot on the C-USA All-Academic team…Earned President’s List honors during the 2017 Spring semester.

Named Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball as the team’s primary closer…Earned Conference USA All-Freshman accolades as well…Set Golden Eagle freshman record with 12 saves, which tied him for fifth on the school’s single-season list…Appeared in 26 games, all in relief, posting 3-3 record with 2.38 ERA…Allowed 15 runs on 32 hits in 41 1/3 innings, with 44 strikeouts and 20 walks…Picked up wins against Marshall (3/19), UTSA (3/24) and Rice (4/24)…Picked up saves in the last two games of Conference USA tournament against Marshall (5/28) and Rice (5/29)…Went a season-high five innings vs. South Alabama (3/2), allowing just one hit with a season-high five strikeouts and two walks…Went 4 2/3 innings against UTSA (3/24)….Was not been asked to go longer than 2 2/3 in his final 16 appearances...Had three or more strikeouts in eight outings during the year…Named to President’s List During the fall and spring semesters…Also earned a C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal, while also garnering Commissioner’s Honor Roll status.

Prep: Played two seasons for Coach Jason Osborn at Evans (Ga.) Greenbrier High School…In those two years, the Wolfpack won 55 games, including 2015 Class AAAAA Georgia State High School baseball championship games…On the mound, posted a career 24-2 record with 1.23 ERA...In 30 career appearances, struck out 211 batters while walking 65…In 159 career innings, allowed 79 career hits. Of those, just eight hits went for extra bases (four doubles, two home runs in 2015; two home runs in 2014) At the plate, hit .348 over his two seasons, with 73 hits, 47 RBIs and 41 runs scored…Had 16 doubles, four triples and two home runsAs a senior, went 11-2 record with 1.05 ERA…Struck out 117 in 86 innings with 38 walksHit .337 with 35 hits, 26 RBIs and 23 runs scored…Had nine doubles and one home run…As a junior, named Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle Player of the Year…Named Region2-AAAAA Pitcher of the Year…Posted 13-0 record and 1.44 ERA with one save in 15 appearances…Logged 94 strikeouts and 27 walks in 67 innings pitched… Hit .358 with 38 hits, 21 RBIs and 18 runs scored…Had seven doubles, four triples and one home run.

Personal: Son of John and Daisy Sandlin, Older brother, Jake, played for the Golden Eagles in 2015 and currently is an assistant baseball coach at Georgia College…Majoring in Construction Engineering Technology.
