Jake Cobb is in his first year as the Director of Baseball Operations and third year working with the baseball program. He served as the Head Equipment Manager for the past two years.
Cobb assists with the day-to-day operations of the Golden Eagle baseball office, which also includes working with academics, camps, game-day operations, on-campus recruiting and the equipment operation. He also assists with administration of the Dugout Club, handling the membership database and administration of the preseason banquet. In addition to his baseball duties, Cobb assists with the operation of the Corky Palmer Golf Tournament each fall.
He graduated from Southern Miss in May 2005 with a bachelor's degree in sport administration. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in sport administration, also from Southern Miss and will complete the requirements this summer.
Cobb is the son of Jerry and Donna Cobb of Hattiesburg, Miss., and is the oldest of two children. He is involved in a variety of community related acitivites, including the University's Baptist Student Union. He spent some time in early January in Portland, Ore., on a missions trip.
