HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The University of Southern Mississippi's Felice Johnson of the women's cross country team was one of seven student-athletes to be named to the 2013 Conference USA All-Academic Team. Johnson, a sophomore, boasts a 4.00 grade point average in pre-nursing.
She was one of four student-athletes on the list with a 4.00 GPA, joining Middle Tennessee's Autumn Gipson and UAB's Elinor Kirk and Kate Brown. Also on the All-Academic Team were Charlotte's Nicole Morgan, Middle Tennessee's Rachel Islam and UTSA's Samantha Fish. Johnson was the youngest student-athlete on the list, as the other six recipients were either seniors or graduate students.
Johnson completed the 2013 C-USA Championship race with a fifth-place time of 17:24.67, earning her All-C-USA First Team honors. Johnson was also named to the 2012-13 C-USA Academic Medalist list, C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and USM President's list.
