Southern Miss' Legderwood Earns USTFCCC All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recognized 450 athletes that earned All-Region awards for cross country in Division I following this weekend's NCAA Regional Championships.

Southern Miss Stephanie Ledgerwood who finished 15th overall at the NCAA South Regional in Tallahassee, Fla., with a personal-best time of 20:33.1 in the 6K race, earned her first all-region honor. Ledgerwood has been the top runner for the Golden Eagles all season. She has posted seven top 20 finishes including two individual titles. She also earned first team All-Conference USA after finishing third overall at the C-USA Championship.

Athletes of member schools that finished in the top 25 individually at one of the nine regional sites earned the honor. Top 25 individuals from last weekend's NCAA Regional Championships earn award.
