Women's Cross Country, Men's Tennis Earn C-USA Academic Awards

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's cross country and men's tennis squads earned Conference USA Academic Awards for the 2013-14 season.

The Sport Academic Award is given to the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest GPA for the academic year. Rice produced three different teams with the highest GPA for their respective sports, while Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss, Tulane and Tulsa had two apiece.

The Southern Miss women's cross country team earned a GPA of 3.795, while the men's tennis team squad had a 3.647 GPA.
