Cross Country Team Placed 13th at the NCAA South Regional Championships

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Senior Stephanie Ledgerwood capped off the season with a 15th-place finish at the NCAA South Regional Championships at the Apalachee Regional Park in helping the team placed 13th out of 29 teams.
Ledgerwood turned in a season-best time of 20:33.1 over the 6K course. Ledgerwood was among the lead pack throughout the race. Freshman Felice Johnson (60) was the next for the Golden Eagles with a season-best time of 21:29.5 followed by Krista Moylan (62) with a time of 21:35.2. Jocelyn Lockhart (97) also ran a season-best time of 22:04.4 with Kara Moylan (148) running a time of 23:25.3.
The Florida State women's teams successfully defended their NCAA South Region Cross Country Championship title as the Seminoles placed five runners in the top 15 including the individual winner in Violah Lagat who ran course-record time of 20:06.6. Florida State secured its seventh consecutive NCAA Championship appearance with a 24-point total.
