Golden Eagles Compete at the Ole Miss Invite and Multi-Events
Eagles record 14 top-eight finishes.

OXFORD, Miss. - The Southern Miss track and field teams competed in the Ole Miss Invite over the weekend with several athletes turning in personal-best performances.
LaDaeshia Davis placed seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.60m. Tamarra Bowie claimed third place in the triple jump with a jump of 12.20m while Kayla Taylor recorded a PR performance in the discus with a throw of 47.64m in placing third.
The 4x100-meter relay team placed seventh with a time of 41.86.
Jamar Sims and Colas Levaufre placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the long jump with marks of 7.08m and 7.07m. Courtland Wells finished sixth in the high jump competition with a jump of 1.98m. Christopher Monroe finished fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 14.70m. Adam Sparks placed eighth in the javelin with a throw of 51.84m.
The Golden Eagles will travel to Baton Rouge for the LSU Alumni Gold on Saturday April 20.
