Radio is extremely popular at Southern Miss, primarily because of the tremendous strength of the Southern Miss IMG Sports radio network and its reach to Golden Eagle fans. The network enjoys a partnership with over 20 affiliates, reaches five states in the South, and only gets more powerful in the most populated areas in Mississippi. 	John Cox - Director of Broadcast Operations John Cox began his broadcasting career at Southern Miss in 1978. Among his many duties at Southern Miss, Cox handles the play-by-play broadcasts of Golden Eagle football and basketball. He also hosts the Southern Miss Sports Today television shows and the Golden Eagle Hotline weekly call-in show. Prior to moving to the radio booth, Cox called the play-by-play on delayed telecasts of Southern Miss basketball from 1978 to 1981. He also has worked on the Fox Sports Net South and Comcast Sports Southeast telecasts of Southern Miss baseball. Cox is four-time Mississippi Sportscaster of the Year a graduate of Southern Miss, and a member of the Eagle Club.			Vic Purvis - Football Color Commentary Vic began his sports broadcasting career as a guest commentator during 1974 season and despite many attempts at leaving the position has never been able to quit! Purvis led the Golden Eagles as a starter from 1963 to 1965 when he developed a brilliant career as one of the school's all-time most versatile and talented quarterbacks. Purvis still holds the record for the most rushing yards in a game by a quarterback at Southern Miss and is still in the booth after over 30 years. Vic is the owner of Purvis Sales and Marketing and is a proud member of the Southern Miss Eagle Club and M-Club.
	Josh West - Voice of the Lady Eagles Josh West's career as a member of the Southern Miss IMG Radio Network broadcast team began in 2008. Josh serves as the Voice of Lady Eagles Basketball and handles play-by-play duties while also hosting the "Fast Break" radio show and the Southern Miss Sports Today television program with Joye-Lee McNelis. West is a familiar broadcaster and talk show host to high school sports fans throughout central and southern Mississippi. West, who received his broadcast journalism degree from Southern Miss in 2004, has been involved in sports radio work on the prep and local college level for many years, most recently with WYAB in Jackson. He is married to the former Stacey Dill of Laurel, Miss., and the couple has a son Elijah.

"Golden Eagle Hotline" with John Cox - 10+ Affiliates throughout the state The Golden Eagle Hotline is a chance for Southern Miss fans to speak with Head Coaches Larry Eustachy and Larry Fedora. The Hotline is aired on Tuesdays during football season and Thursdays during basketball, all shows airing from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
