Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Sales

Kyle George, who had been the Director of the Marketing and Sales, was elevated to Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Sales in September of 2015. George joined the Southern Miss staff in August 2011.

In his current role, George oversees all fan engagement and promotions for men’s basketball and baseball. He serves as the on-field promotions director for football. In addition, George coordinates community relations events including but not limited to team reunions.

George supervises the creation of all digital marketing pieces. He assists with the spirit squads, as well as, helping with establishing season and single-game ticket sales strategies. George oversees sales for group tickets, corporate tailgate tents and the To The Top Terrance.

Prior to being hired full-time by the University, George served as the graduate assistant for marketing at Southern Miss from 2011-12

A native of Hoover, Ala., George earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Samford in 2011. He received a master’s degree in sport management from Southern Miss in 2013.
