University of Southern Mississippi Athletic Association Supports IHL Presidential Search Process
In the last eight years, the Athletic Foundation has raised over $53 million in cash and pledges from private giving to enhance facility improvements and student-athlete scholarships.

The executive committee of The University of Southern Mississippi Athletic Foundation met on November 8, 2006 and has endorsed the IHL search process for its new president. The committee endorses the process of confidentially in the search effort and feels that it will enhance the quality of the pool of applicants.
In making the announcement, Aubrey Collum, President of the Athletic Foundation said, "We totally support the IHL Board and Commissioner of Higher Education Dr. Tom Meredith in the process they have outlined for the next president of The University of Southern Mississippi. The Athletic Foundation supports the IHL search process and feels it will truly serve in the best interest of the entire University and all the groups it encompasses. We all desire the best possible candidate for president and we hope that individual will support the value of intercollegiate athletics and the integral role it plays on a university campus."
In the last eight years, the Athletic Foundation has raised over $53 million in cash and pledges from private giving to enhance facility improvements and student-athlete scholarships. The executive committee expects its full board of directors to endorse the process at its next regularly scheduled meeting on November 17.
The Athletic Foundation is the second campus affiliated group to endorse the search process. The University of Southern Mississippi Alumni Association Board of Directors also recently endorsed the process.
