Southern Miss to Hold "Outreach at the Rock" as Part of Faith Night this Sunday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics will host "Outreach at the Rock," beginning at 5 p.m., at Reed Green Coliseum, Sunday, Oct. 28, as part of its Faith Night, in conjunction with its home football game with UCF.
The "Outreach at the Rock" precedes the 7 p.m., football kickoff at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at The Rock.
Admission to the "Outreach at the Rock," which includes a ticket to the football game, is $10. Those fans who already have a game ticket, will receive complimentary admission.
The hour-long program will begin with a performance by The Tom Edwards Band, a four-piece praise band from Clinton, Miss. Edwards is a local worship leader and the band recently released their first full CD.
The performance will be followed by Melvin Adams, a former member of the Harlem Globetrotters, who has spoken to thousands of groups since his retirement from the Globetrotters. Adams, the two-time Mr. Globetrotter, was in the Guinness Book of World Records as the World's Fastest Dribbler and has appeared on television, including such shows as
Adams has spoken at many different schools as well as corporations such as Reebok, Continental Airlines, Golf Digest, as well as in different prisons around the country.
