HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The National Collegiate Athletic Association recently released the Graduation Success Rates (GSR) for its member institutions and the University of Southern Mississippi was either tied or above the federally mandated methodology used in all 16 of its intercollegiate athletic programs.
The GSR data, which was from the four-class aggregate of entering classes from 1996 through 1999, was been compiled sport-by-sport.
The overall GSR for the division is 77 percent and Southern Miss is over that rate in 10 of its athletic teams, including football and men's basketball.
