Murray Littlepage hired as Southern Miss' Director of Marketing

July 27, 2017 HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss athletics department welcomes Murray Littlepage as its new Director of Marketing.

"I am honored to join the Southern Miss athletics department," Littlepage said. "I would like to thank Jon Gilbert, Daniel Feig, Kent Hegenauer, Stephen Pugh and the rest of the team for providing me with this opportunity. I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of the Golden Eagle family."

Littlepage had since served as an assistant director of marketing and promotions at Tulane since November 2014. His duties included managing all aspects of the Green Wave Fan Advisory Committee and overseeing in-game promotions and music for home football, basketball and baseball games. Littlepage also assisted in the development and execution of Tulane women's basketball's #HandClapHoopla video, which was chosen as one of four finalists by ESPNW in a nationwide competition.

Littlepage, who was hired by Tulane as a marketing coordinator before his promotion in July 2015, had previously held social media associate and athletics administration intern positions at Virginia from June 2013 - Nov. 2014. His first post-graduate position was at UNC Charlotte as a ticket office assistant from Aug. 2012 - June 2013.

"We're excited to have Murray join the Southern Miss family," Stephen Pugh, senior associate athletics director for external operations, said. "I think he'll get along quickly with our staff, bring great ideas and have an impact on the customer service and game day experience we provide."

Littlepage graduated from Radford University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise, Sports and Health Education and a minor in marketing. He earned his Master of Education degree in sport leadership from Virginia Commonwealth in 2012.
