Southern Miss Names Kaylie Shannon Assistant AD for Sports Technology
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss Athletics announced Tuesday the hiring of Kaylie Shannon as Assistant AD for Sports Technology.
Shannon comes to Southern Miss after working in here previous role as Assistant Manager of Video Production at Colorado State since May 2014.
"I am extremely excited to join the team and be a member of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles," Shannon said. "Throughout the entire interview process, I met so many amazing people that I will have the opportunity to work with. While visiting Hattiesburg, I was amazed by how beautiful the city was the great community. Everyone is excited about the school and I can't wait to get started."

"Kaylie's creativity, skill set, and passion for working with student-athletes and coaches is very apparent. Everyone we spoke to about Kaylie raved about her video and creative abilities, her drive and passion for college athletics, her ability to manage numerous projects at one time and her amazing storyteller attributes.
"She will be a great addition to our fully integrated marketing and communication department and we are excited for her to join Southern Miss Athletics."
The 2012 Colorado State alumnus worked her first five years of her career at her alma mater, starting as a Football Video Assistant from March 2010 until August 2013. She then worked the next year as Video Producer/Video Editor for the athletic department, before being promoted to Assistant Manager of Video Production in May 2014.
Her responsibilities for the Golden Eagles will be to continue to expand the video operations department, through digital and social media platforms, produce outstanding content marketing pieces that feature and highlight the brand, coaches, teams and student-athletes, as well as operate the video board for the football game experience and provide a quality live streaming broadcast to Southern Miss fans.
