Southern Miss Fan Caravan to Visit Jackson

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The 4th Annual Southern Miss Fan Caravan will make its first stop in Jackson, Miss., Saturday, June 23, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., at Sport Avenue in the Northpark Mall.

Members of the 2007 football team, including tight end Shawn Nelson, linebackers Tokumbo Abanikanda and Martez Smith, and defensive back Michael McGee, as well as Seymour, the Golden Eagle cheerleaders and athletic department staff will be on hand. In addition, there will be season ticket information, along with schedule cards and posters, and giveaways.

The 2007 Southern Miss football schedule will be exciting and competitive as the Golden Eagles welcome non-conference opponents Tennessee-Martin (Sat., Sept. 1) and Arkansas State (Sat., Nov. 24) to "The Rock" to open and close the home schedule, respectively. Conference USA home games include Rice (Wed., Oct. 3), SMU (Sat., Oct. 13/Homecoming); UCF (Sun., Oct. 28) and Memphis (Sat., Nov. 10/Black Out).

The next stop for the Southern Miss Fan Caravan will be on Saturday, July 21 as part of the Rotary Children's Fair activities planned at the Edgewater Mall in Gulfport.
