Greg Herring Named to Board of Directors of NACMA

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Greg Herring, Southern Miss Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Sales, has been elected by his peers to serve a four-year appointment on the Board of Director for the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA).
The mission of NACMA is to foster the highest possible professional and ethical standards, while providing administrators in athletics marketing, communications and revenue generation a broad range of advancement opportunities. Further, it is NACMA's mission to improve the overall understanding and effectiveness of the athletics marketing profession, while upholding the ideals of higher education. NACMA's membership has increased to over 1100 intercollegiate marketing administrators since its inception in 1990.
The appointment was voted upon by the association's collective membership at the most recent NACMA Convention in Orlando, Florida where Herring lead discussions and presentations on various topics. Herring has also served as the Conference USA NACMA Representative for the past year and has twice contributed to the Athletics Administration trade publication.
Herring is in his fourth year at Southern Miss with oversight duties of athletic marketing, ticket sales and the university's licensing programs and is currently pursuing his Masters in Sports Administration at Southern Miss.
