Brett Favre would choose Southern Miss - again!

This summer is shaping up to be very busy, and exciting. Season tickets sales and Eagle Club memberships are going very well. We have passed the priority deadlines so I encourage everyone to make sure they have responded so they can continue their desired tickets and parking locations. This week I had an opportunity to visit with Brett Favre, while we were shooting a video interview to be used at a later date. It's always great to have an opportunity to sit down and talk with Brett outside the bright lights. Every Eagle fan should know that his love for Southern Miss has not diminished since the days he wore the black and gold. As Brett indicated during our visit - if he could go back and do it all over again and choose any college in America, he would choose Southern Miss. Like so many Eagle fans and alumni, Brett shares the same spirit of striving for excellence, success and to play at the highest level that we all have. Brett also keeps up with our progress and the many improvements made to our athletic facilities at Southern Miss. He remarked that our facilities may not be the largest, but are as nice as any in the country. In addition to always talking about his great love for Southern Miss and Hattiesburg, he also is so passionate about our region from Jackson to the Coast and Mobile to New Orleans. In the next few weeks I am off for trips to the Orange Bowl in Miami, and the Beef `O' Brady's St. Petersburg Bowl and will get a chance to visit with many other athletic directors from across the country. Conference expansion continues to be a hot topic and I look forward to the opportunity to visit with my colleagues as we all await further league developments.
