HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss athletic department and ISP Sports, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Golden Eagle Athletics since 2000, have announced an extension of their partnership through June of 2011. This agreement has been approved by the state IHL board.
"ISP has played a key role in identifying and securing clients and developing new revenue sources for our athletics department since we began working with them in 2000," said Richard Giannini, Southern Miss Director of Athletics. "We are excited about our partnership with ISP Sports and look for an even greater relationship in the future. Owen Shull and his staff do an excellent job and are tireless workers."
The Southern Miss sales team, headed by Owen Shull, General Manager, was recently recognized for having the largest percentage of growth of its corporate sponsorship production of any of the 25 athletic programs represented by ISP Sports.
Jamie Walker, who has been a member of the ISP Southern Miss sales and marketing team since 2003, was honored as recipient of the 2005 "President's Cup" as the outstanding sales representative in the company and has been promoted to Associate General Manager. Walker, who earned both her bachelor's and master's degree at Southern Miss prior to joining ISP, has served previously as an Assistant GM.
Drew King, a Marketing Assistant on the ISP Golden Eagle team the past year, also has been promoted to Account Executive for his efforts this past year.
"Jamie and Drew have both done an outstanding job for the Southern Miss ISP Sports Network and are a key part of our growth here," said Shull. "They understand our partnership with Southern Miss and work hard to be positive representatives of the university. These promotions are well deserved.
"We are elated to know that ISP and Southern Miss will continue as partners for the foreseeable future and look forward to even greater days ahead as our relationship continues to thrive."
Shull also will soon add a third member to his sales staff as the company is adding a Marketing Assistant in its office here.
ISP Sports produces and markets a variety of services on behalf of the Golden Eagles, including radio play-by-play and call-in shows, television programming, stadium and arena signage, game programs, and at-event corporate promotional and hospitality opportunities. ISP also markets the university's official athletics website, (www.SouthernMiss.com), and the athletic program's newspaper, The Screamin' Eagle.
