In January of 2015 Southern Miss Athletics, with the assistance of Populous, released the Reed Green Feasibility Study. On this page you will find proposed renderings of the coliseum, facts regarding the about the feasibility study and proposed fan amenities.

The historic Reed Green Coliseum has long been an integral part of the Pine Belt region, providing a premier sports and entertainment venue and destination for civic events. With the proposed $40 million transformation, we have an opportunity to re-establish the arena as a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose venue for the region that could effectively serve or support the entertainment, convention, academic, assembly and related interests of the Pine Belt and State of Mississippi for decades to come.

Dedicated in 1965, Reed Green Coliseum has played an important role in the Hattiesburg community and surrounding region, serving as a premier destination for everything from concerts to civic events to sporting events.

Over the past 50 years, the Coliseum has booked some of America's top acts, including Brooks and Dunn, Pam Tillis, Travis Tritt, The Indigo Girls, Reba McIntyre, Train and Bob Dylan. As an important community asset, the arena is in need of significant renovations to sustain its place as a regional destination for performances and events for decades to come. The proposed renovations will modernize the building and help articulate a vision for the future of the campus, athletics, the community and region.
