The primary focus of the Student Eagle Club is to get students excited and committed to supporting and promoting all Southern Miss athletic programs. It is the "official" start to a lifelong commitment to their university.

Mission
The mission is simple - to help students grow the Eagle Family by promoting awareness and support of events sponsored by USM Athletics and the Eagle Club. Followed by these four principles:
1) Promote student involvement and spirit with The University of Southern Mississippi intercollegiate athletic programs.
2) Maintain existing and create new traditions relating to intercollegiate athletic programs.
3) Serve the Athletic Department in furthering the development of athletic programs at USM, consistent with the policies of The Student Eagle Club.
4) Promote good sportsmanship at the University of Southern Mississippi.
